A new wedding in the Countryside!
Winter is coming and we are inspired to tell you about a lovely wedding we arranged to the mountains close to countryside region.
We are today in Sauze d’Oulx in Susa Valley.
Susa Valley was the location that hosted Winter Olympic Games of 2006.
Ilaria and Stefano are two wonderful Italian guys who chose to get married in their hometown, this little village on the Alps.
Their old friends and family were all present to this special event that involved almost all the little village.
Alps are just a perfect setting for a wedding have a look to the amazing view of this fairy tale wedding!
The religious ceremony was celebrated in the tiny church of San Giovanni Battista.
It is little mountain church with wooden floor and a baroque altar. A little corner quaint Italian feeling.
For their floral arrangements there was no doubt for Ilaria! She loved baby’s breath (gypsofìphila) so she wanted it everywhere!
It was a long and important job for the florists but they finally got a great result.
She wanted baby’s breath at the entrance of her house, in the church, to the aperitif and to the reception too.
This delicate flower perfect matched the soft colors of the place.
The little church was really full of this tiny flowers put together as balls and garlands.
They were also on the ancient mountain fountain made of stone just in front of the church.
Gypsophila garlands also on the terrace of the reception venue Ilaria and Stefano chose for their wedding meal.
It is one of the hotels in the village that during summer and winter host many tourists and mountains lovers for their vacations on Alps.
Ilaria wanted a simple bouquet made with baby’s breath too and ivory roses.
It was really simple but very elegant same as the lovely dress Ilaria wore. A fine and chic Italian wedding dress.
Ilaria and Stefano follow every single step of the planning selecting every single detail with loving care. The combined a classical taste of a traditional Italian wedding with a personal touch of happiness and originality!
Have a look to their wedding cake. A huge white wedding cake with marsh-mellows and candies among the rose petals.
The cake topper (that was not on the top of the cake but just side of it) was a vintage one passed through the family from wedding to wedding. Wasn’t a great idea?
After the meal a lot of dances with and a great party with wigs and lighting necklaces and bracelets and wonderful moment on the terrace: flylanterns in the mountain sky to make a wish and let it go….
Congratulations Ilaria and Stefano!
