A relaxing wedding over the hills of Tuscany
Tuscany, what a dream… and what a fairy tale Robin and Donald’s romantic country wedding. They are a nice couple coming from US with the dream of a wedding in stunning Tuscany surrounded by their close family and friends.
For their wedding holiday, they chose a little farmhouse close to Florence, Borgo i Vicelli.
Borgo is a country inn, a small charming village, conveniently located near the historic centre of Florence in the town of Bagno a Ripoli. After an extensive and scrupulous renovation, back in summer of 2011, country inn opened its doors to all those who are wishing to enjoy a unique experience full of timeless pleasures! Hamlet, with its nineteenth-century villa and antique farmhouses, is set in a stunning estate made of olive groves and gentle hills of Chianti.
Let’s get back to Robin and Donald’s wedding. They decided to celebrate their wedding symbolic ceremony in the garden of the venue. Jo Bertolino form Tuscan Pledges, a talented celebrant we usually work with helped us to create a magic moment for them.
We chose a nice spot of the garden, It was perfect for a small number of guests. Decoration was made of floral arch with pink and cream flowers with a soft cream fabric that gave a touch of vintage and shabby chic style.
White tiffany chairs were set forming a circular embrace. Small vases with small bouquet of flowers along the aisle gave the final romantic touch to the wedding ceremony.
Robin arrived at the ceremony with her father in her chic lace wedding dress. Her bouquet was made of a mix of peonies and garden roses in the shades of light pink, cream and green, very soft and natural.
She arrived on the music of a string trio and the romanic ceremony began, very touching for all family and friends.
After the ceremony, a small toast with all guests and then they started having pictures with the family and fiends.
Once back they joined all guests who were having appetizers by the swimming pool. Borgo prepares all homemade Tuscan food, a delicious experience for all.
Then the couple moved to the fields around Borgo for some romantic shots at sunset, they appreciated the stunning beauty of Tuscan sunset.
At dinner time we invited all guests on the main terrace where a long table was waiting from them. Wedding decors were made with a long floral runner made of green leaves, garden flowers in pink, cream and green and lots of candles.
A nice menu with a small name tag in light green, decorated the napkin, simple but stylish wedding stationary.
During seated wedding reception group had some speeches made by few members of the family and some dances like bride and groom first dance, mother-son dance and father-daughter dance.
The peak moment was reached with the cut of the wedding cake which was a typical Italian Millefoglie with custard cream and wild berries. Just delicious!
The wedding ended with music, dances and fun up to late at night.
We wish to thank David Bastianoni for these beautiful pictures.
