An Intimate Wedding on the top of Volcano Etna – Sicily
Emma and Danilo are two young guys who live in London. They have their hearts Sicily and its wonders. They were enchanted by the breathtaking view over the highest volcano in Europe: Mount Etna.
Can you imagine having a wedding on top of a Volcano? In Italy this is possible!
Among the many beauties we have in Bella Italia we also have a Volcano in amazing Sicily.
Let’s discover more!
Exchanging vows on top of a Volcano in Sicily
Generally when it comes to wedding venues many couples choose seaside villas or luxury hotels. Not in this case! Bride and groom chose a truly alternative location… the top of Mount Zoccolaro on Mount Etna.
And it is right here, with the majestic volcano and its active crater in the background, that Emma and Danilo exchanged their vows. A true high altitude dream !! At about 1800 meters above sea level, in an impervious and equally evocative location, eternal love has been promised with a symbolic rite. Enchanting!
Right from the beginning, the couple asked for a unique and unusual location, which reflected their free and unconventional spirit.
Getting up to the Volcano for an unconventional Wedding ceremony venue
Bride and groom chose a small hotel on foot of the volcano to relax and getting ready for the big event.
After a long hike in an impervious mountain path, Emma and Danilo finally exchanged their sweetheart promises on a small plateau overlooking the Valle del Bove from where you can admire a breathtaking view of the central crater of Etna erupting at the time. What an emotion!!!
Wedding photos on Volcano Etna in Sicily
After a brief and very intimate ceremony, bride and groom decided to take their wedding photos on one of the most beautiful areas of Etna: Silvestri craters. It was really exciting walking along the mouth of the old extinct volcanic craters. Emotions that will always remain in the hearts of Emma and Danilo.
A traditional and intimate Sicilian wedding meal
For their wedding dinner, spouses chose a historial hotel located in a small town on foot of the volcano. A lunch with traditional Sicilian dishes that our couple loved so much.
Sicily is not only wonderful beaches or cities of art… but it is also letting yourself be captured by the beauty of the wild and unspoiled nature of one of the UNESCO heritage sites. Etna could be a wonderful unconventional destination for your romantic Italian dream!
A special thanks to Francesco Pagano foto & video, bride and groom’s wedding photographer to took these amazing wedding photos. Thanks for giving us these beautiful shots!
