A romantic Wedding in the land of Barolo Wine – Langhe
As many of our readers know Langhe region is located in Piemonte. Langhe area spread out all over Torino Southern area between the city and Liguria Italian Riviera.
It is the land of wonderful hills, great views over Alps and enchanting vineyard panoramas.
This land is part of UNESCO world heritage and it is just here were some of the best and more precious red wines are produced. We are talking about Barolo and Barbaresco.
We have the pleasure to plan weddings in these fantastic areas. Today we are going to tell you the story of Marit and Jan-Tore and their romantic wedding in the land of Barolo wine, Langhe.
An ancient farmhouse on top of a vineyard hill in Barolo
Marit and Jan-Tore came all over from Norway. They chose a very special venue for their romantic wedding in the land of Barolo wine. They decided to get ready, have their wedding ceremony and wedding reception all in the same venue.
Most of the guests had their accommodation in Alba while bride and groom and close family stayed and got ready in this stunning venue.
A local family restored an ancient village in the heart of Barolo village creating a complex of several luxury suites. They all have a breathtaking view over Langhe hills and Barolo vineyards.
The venue is a celebration of the culture of wine where you can enjoy the pleasure of slow living.
The whole group arrived some days before and started the celebrations with a fun pizza party the day before and a bbq for the day after the wedding as farewell.
The venue can host all kind of events exclusive use.
Our bride Marit got ready in one of the most beautiful suites of the complex, while Jan-Tore was welcoming their guests in the lovely grounds of the venue.
Official photographer Leandro Biasco took some amazing photos of the getting ready moments.
A romantic and laid down ceremony overlooking Barolo vineyards
Marit and and Jan-Tore wanted a very laid down wedding ceremony for their romantic wedding in the land of Barolo Wine.
Once Marit was ready she reached Jan Tore and all the guests in the garden of the venue. They chose a late afternoon ceremony, the light was simply perfect!
The wanted a very casual and short ceremony with all the guests standing around a wine barrel where bride and groom tied the knot.
Wedding ceremony was conducted by a friend of the couple all in Norwegian.
Amazing wedding photos in Barolo vineyards
Right after the ceremony Leandro Biasco photographer took bride and groom all over the vineyards of the property to take some amazing wedding photos.
They walked right into the vines, they chose some lovely traditional houses backgrounds and they enjoyed the view of Barolo hills.
This location can surely guarantee amazing panoramas for your wedding photos.
Reception under stars in Langhe region
For their wedding reception Marit and Jan-Tore chose an outdoor spot of the venue.
We arranged oval tables in the highest points of the venue to host 12 guests each.
All of them were decorated with lovely white flowers and lots of greenery which perfectly matched Marit bridal bouquet.
Wedding stationary was created by a friend of the bride and groom. Everything was very simple but very elegant and chic. The view framing the event did the rest!
As Norwegian tradition, the wedding reception meal was blended with lots of speeches and games that everyone enjoyed a lot.
For their wedding menu Marit and Jan-Tore chose all local dishes of Piemonte cuisine. They tasted agnolotti del plin and brasato al barolo served with all best wines of Piemonte region, including Barolo, of course!
And what about the wedding cake? A hazelnuts traditional Piemontese wedding cake cannot miss. Langhe area is not only famous for amazing wines but also for hazelnuts. As the matter of fact famous Nutella cream with chocolate and hazelnuts was created here. Hazelnuts are integral part of Piemonte cuisine.
After the cutting of the cake the party could begin. A great dj set made the group dancing the night way under a starred country sky. Bride and groom and their guests couldn’t be happier.
A romantic wedding in the land of Barolo wine dream came true!
A big thanks to Leandro Biasco for his wedding photos!
