A Slow Food Wedding in Langhe
Our readers probably know that there are some wedding venues we particularly like.
The wedding venue Tiziana and Filippo chose for their wedding reception is one of these.
Tiziana and Filippo are a wonderful and happy Italian couple who chose to get married in the area they live and love: Piemonte countryside and its Langhe area, land of wines and wonderful Piemontese food.
They got ready at their family homes and for their Catholic ceremony they chose a wonderful Country church in Savigliano.
Tiziana chose a romantic look for her wedding with a white wedding dress with laces detains on its skirts and on her shoulders.
She wanted a simple but elegant look so she opted for a loose undo for her hair and a romantic bridal bouquet made of white roses and green chrysanthemums.
Green as the main color of Piemonte countryside is the color she chose to be the theme of her wedding!
After the moving ceremony inside the church of Savigliano the group moved to a wonderful wedding reception venue. It is a fantastic hotel located close by Alba and Bra in the very heart of Langhe.
Side of being a wonderful hotel, the venue is also a Slow Food Presidium and host the University of Gastronomic Science. I’m sure you will remember we talked about this fantastic venue in occasion of other weddings we planned such as Helen and Daniele’s and Patricia and Richard’s.
Food and wines are the best you can get in Langhe, the selection they can offer being a Slow Food Presidium is incredibly wide.
After some pictures in the wide property of the Slow Food Presidium that also host an ancient castle and a wonderful courtyard, Tiziana and Filippo reached their guests for a rich aperitif and gourmand dinner to follow.
Tiziana and Filippo named their tables after wines cru and kept their green theme also for their centrepieces created with white roses and white lysianthus but most of all with green hydrangeas and green chrysanthemums.
The dinner was served in the green house restaurant overlooking the wide park of the property that hosts on its ground… ancient Romans ruins.
Yes! This is true! The area used to be an ancient Roman settlement, then became part of Savoy Royal Family and then after a long and great refurbishment now it is a Slow Food Presidium.
It is just wonderful how history, nature, food and wines blend in this amazing venue.
Green themed was kept also for the little boxes with sugared almonds inside as favours for guests and for the wedding cake made of small fresh fruits tarts… and what about personalised M&Ms bride and groom offered to all? Aren’t they cute?
The party kept on with dances and music and most of all with a fun Photo Booth for all guests.
Props, masks, hats and fun sunglasses made the photos so fun and unforgettable.
Congratulations to Tiziana and Filippo, thanks for sharing with us your wonderful event.
A big thanks to Independent Pictures Team for their wonderful wedding Photos.
