Getting married in a Wonderful Apulian Masseria close to Taranto
Oh so refined that’s how I would describe Francesco and Aurora’s wonderful wedding day in Apulia.
Aurora and Francesco got married in June 2015 on the last spring day. They had both with sun and rain on their wedding day but at the result was simply amazing!
Aurora and Francesco is a wonderful Apulian couple who chose to get married in the area they live and love: Puglia region and its countryside.
They love to travel around the world they decided to tie the knot in Apulia where their family and friends are and where their roots are too.
Puglia region offers all the best of the so called Bel Paese: sun, good food , seaside , good wine, relax, stunning views, huge olive trees , and a variety of great wedding wedding to celebrate a romantic Italian wedding : restored farmhouses, trulli, castles and much more.
Aurora and Francesco’s wedding was exactly what the couple had envisioned!
Aurora looked amazing in her Rosa Clarà wedding dress and tulip bridal bouquet. Her flower girl looked adorable in a white simple dress with a flower crown and a small bouquet. So cute!
Francesco looked very handsome in his tuxedo tailored by Corneliani with bow tie for the ceremony and long tie for the wedding reception.
The overall look and décor of this romantic wedding in Apulia countryside was made of four key words: country, elegant, simple and romantic.
A Catholic ceremony in a Catholic Cathedral close to Taranto
For their Roman Catholic ceremony Francesco and Aurora opted for a catholic cathedral in Castellaneta village near Taranto.
Taranto is a wonderful Apulia city of Apulian Salento Countryside. It has ancient Greeks origins and it is a city of rare beauty.
A wonderful choice for a fantastic church antique details and frescoes on the walls and celings. We arranged white and green flowers inside the ancient church, on the altar and outdoor.
Aurora arrived on a white Volkswagen Beetle car decorated with a green garland.
Ceremony was moving and so romantic and famous Beatles’s song All you need is Love accompanied newlyweds’ recessional. Such an original exit that all their guests will remember forever.
A reception in a Country Masseria in Apulia Countryside
Aurora listed the four things that she and Francesco felt were important for their wedding day:
a beautiful masseria – a traditional Apulian farm – in the heart of the Apulian countryside, delicious local Italian food, fun for everyone and lightheartedness not matter the weather!
About one hundred and thirty friends and relatives moved to Masseria Ciura after the Catholic ceremony.
Aurora and Francesco chose a restored wonderful masseria located in Massafra little town, close to Taranto. It was the perfect setting for a romantic Apulian countryside wedding.
Bride and the groom chose Masseria Ciura for its scenario where they were able to get fantastic wedding photos with garden of the villa as backdrop.
Amazing photos here have been taken by: Francesco Gravina.
As special wedding touch Aurora and Francesco gave each guest a traditional Apulian pie called faldacchea. They were all placed on the wedding reception tables.
The sound of an electronic violin accompanied gourmand welcome aperitif.
Dinner was served inside the masseria rooms. Bride and groom wanted a traditional Apulian food menu with a touch of international cousine. It featured famous “fave and cicoria”, friselle, traditional Apulian cheese: mozzarella cheese, burrata, seafood and all was accompained by delicious Apulian wines such as Negroamaro, Primitivo and Salice.
Francesco and Aurora chose a handmade soap, as special wedding favor, a pretty and useful idea!
Then it was time for the wedding cake! An amazing tiered cake with a romantic cake topper on it. At it was more than beautful…it was delicious too!
Wonderful group kept on partying with music and dances until late night, as a fun fact we can say that bride and groom changed their shoes with more comfortable ones to dance up to late at night!
If you like countryside as Aurora and Francesco you can chose a traditional Apulian masseria not far from Taranto for your unforgettable country wedding in Italy!
